'No place to hide': Iraq's Christians face ISIS slaughter as country disintegrates

The ISIS attack on Iraq has opened up the already wide divisions in its society. There is religious strife between Sunnis and Shias, along with the separatist sentiments among Kurds in the north. And then there are other minorities like Christians and Turkmen, who are in a dire position as Lucy Kafanov reports.

'US fighting alongside ISIS': Direct American role in strengthening jihadists

ISIS proclaimed Islamic order on territories they captured both in Iraq and Syria. The area they now hold contains economically vital oil sites. Where does ISIS get the funding it needs to snatch power in the region? Even Washington has played its role in the rise of ISIS - as RT's Marina Portnaya explains.

New NSA Boss Says The Sky Is Not Falling Because Of Snowden Revelations | Techdirt

New NSA Boss Says The Sky Is Not Falling Because Of Snowden Revelations | Techdirt

from the because-it's-not dept

While former NSA boss General Keith Alexander continues to run around insisting that the damage from the Snowden revelations has been catastrophic and has put us all in great danger, his successor in office, Admiral Mike Rogers (again, no relation to chief NSA defender and head of the House Intelligence Committee Rep. Mike Rogers), has actually been a hell of a lot more reserved in his own claims. In his latest interview, with the NY Times, he specifically notes that the sky is not falling from the Snowden revelations.
He repeated past warnings that the agency had overheard terrorist groups “specifically referencing data detailed” by Mr. Snowden’s revelations. “I have seen groups not only talk about making changes, I have seen them make changes,” he said.

But he then added: “You have not heard me as the director say, ‘Oh, my God, the sky is falling.’ I am trying to be very specific and very measured in my characterizations.”
Rogers also didn't spew the usual FUD about how we'd all be at risk if the bulk phone record collection was shut down, though, of course he said he still wanted access to the data in a reasonable amount of time, if necessary.
Admiral Rogers indicated that system, so long resisted by the security agency, was workable. “I am not going to jump up and down and say, ‘I have to have access to that data in minutes and hours,’ ” he said. “The flip side is that I don’t want to take weeks and months to get to the data.”
While it's doubtful that there will be any significant change in the NSA under Rogers, at the very least it's nice to see it have a leader who doesn't immediately jump to the usual FUD about how it absolutely needs every possible ability to spy on everyone or we'll all be put at risk.

Russia Reveals "Plan B": Gazprom Says Gas Transit Via Ukraine May Be Stopped Completely | Zero Hedge

A few days ago, when we wrote our "explainer" on the need for Russia to have an alternative pathway for its gas, one which bypasses Ukraine entirely and as the current "South Stream"framework is set up, crosses the Black Sea and enters Bulgaria before passing Serbia and Hungary on the way to the Central European energy hub located in Baumgarten, Austria, we said that "one short month after Putin concluded the Holy Grail deal with Beijing, he not only managed to formalize his conquest of Europe's energy needs with yet another pipeline, one which completely bypasses Ukraine (for numerous reasons but mostly one: call it a Plan B), but scored a massive political victory by creating a fissure in the heart of the Eurozone, after Austria openly defied its European peers and sided with Putin."
Today we find just what said Plan B is.
As Itar-Tass reports, citing Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller, "Russia’s gas giant Gazprom does not rule out gas transit via Ukraine may be stopped completely."
"What happened once is a tendency, nothing happens incidentally. In 2009, gas supplies were stopped completely — so, we know precedents,” Miller told a briefing on Friday.
Clearly, this is bad news for Ukraine: Gazprom not interested in participation in Ukraine’s gas transportation system (GTS), “train has departed”, CEO said.
The train has already departed. It seems it departed yesterday,” Miller said. “It belongs to no one. The GTS has no owner,” he said. “The GTS of Ukraine does not belong to Naftogaz but to the Ukrainian government. Before discussing things with someone regarding modernization and cooperation, it should appear on the balance sheet of this or that economic entity.”

“Property and legal issues should be resolved first,” Miller said.
In fact, the civil war torn country may soon lose all leverage it had with both Europe and Russia as a transit hub for natural gas, which also means that it is quite likely that Ukraine is about to be abandoned by its western allies who will no longer have any practical use for it.
The Gazprom chief added that “a dozen Ukrainian laws need to be changed to be able to do something with the GTS.”
Confirming that Ukraine's leverage at least with Russia is now effectively zero, Gazprom's CEO also said that “As for the continuation of negotiations with Ukraine, today there is no subject for talks. First, they must repay their debts."
“The gas price for Ukraine is fair - this price is fixed in the contract,” he stressed.
There have been no requests on the part of Ukraine’s national oil and gas company Naftogaz Ukrainy on a change of the transit deal with Russia, Alexei Miller said. Miller told journalists that it would be bad news if such requests had been received.
At least we now know what the Ukraine endgame will look like: as Russian transit through the country is completely cut off, the nation will lose all strategic importance first to Russia and then to Europe, which is still over-reliant on Russian gas (see map below), but which will increasingly turn its attention to the countries which the South Stream passes through.
And speaking of South Stream countries, there is increasing speculation that the main reason why none other than the poorest EU member country, Bulgaria, just suffered its worst bank run in 17 years, and one which has paved the way to early elections, is precisely that: to provide Europe with a government which will be more focused on Brussels' interests, instead of the current socialist regime, whose allegiance to the Kremlin is said to take precedence.
After all, now that Ukraine is yesterday's news, pay close attention to how Europe treats all the South Stream countries, starting with Bulgaria, and going through Serbia (read "Serbia could go bankrupt within a year and end up “in the position of Greece”, the country’s new prime minister has warned"), Hungary and of course, Austria.
Finally, and perhaps most notably, is last week's announcement by Gazprom CEO Miller that Gazprom has good chance, and is interested in discussing buying a stake in the Baumgarten gas hub (see more on why Austria is suddenly so important to both Russia and Europe here).
As Bloomberg reported previously, citing Miller, "The talks we had about South Stream also were a catalyst for the continuation of our talks about participating in the gas hub. We are interested and I think we can discuss a specific percentage of participation." The Russian gas producer and exporter discussed with OMV participating in gas trading in Baumgarten. Miller also added that work on South Stream link to Europe going on schedule, first deliveries to Bulgaria, Serbia, Turkey; capacity to reach 63bcm by end 2017.
In other words, as Europe and the US remains still focused on Ukraine, the one place which now matters most for Europe's energy future is Austria: a country where Gazprom, and Putin of course, are quietly sowing the seeds of Russia's energy dominance tomorrow. As for the feeder countries, especially Bulgaria, pay close attention as the US "foreign service" does all it can to destabilize the local government and financial system as a last ditch attempt to wrest Russia's trump card out of its hand. Something tells us Putin will hardly let it go easily.

Supreme Court Gives Obamacare Opponents Biggest Legal Victory Yet | Zero Hedge

Supreme Court Gives Obamacare Opponents Biggest Legal Victory Yet | Zero Hedge

Moments ago the US Supreme Court - the same Supreme Court which two years ago upheld Obamacare but as a tax, something the administration has since sternly denied - dealt Obamacare its biggest legal blow to date, and alternatively handing Obamacare opponents their largest court victory yet, when in a 5-4 vote SCOTUS ruled that business owners can object on religious grounds to a provision of President Barack Obama's healthcare law that requires closely held private companies to provide health insurance that covers birth control.
As Reuters notes, the justices ruled for the first time that for-profit companies can make claims under a 1993 federal law called the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA). One of the two cases was brought by arts-and-crafts retailer Hobby Lobby Stores Ltd, which is owned and operated by David and Barbara Green and their children, who are evangelical Christians. The other case was brought by Norman and Elizabeth Hahn, Mennonites who own Conestoga Wood Specialties Corp in Pennsylvania.  The justices said that such companies can seek an exemption from the so-called birth control mandate. The decision, which applies only to companies owned by a small number of individuals, means employees of those companies will have to obtain certain forms of birth control from other sources.
As expected, the Supreme Court, which is nothing but a gaggle of political activists, voted along ideological lines. As Reuters reports, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg wrote a dissenting opinion on behalf of the liberal wing of the court.
"In a decision of startling breadth, the court holds that commercial enterprises, including corporations, along with partnerships and sole proprietorships, can opt out of any law ... they judge incompatible with their sincerely held religious beliefs," she wrote.
Americans, clearly having nothing better to worry about, promptly made their way to the SCOTUS building:
Hundreds of demonstrators on both side of one of the most contentious cases of the Supreme Court term converged on the court building, wearing costumes, chanting and carrying signs. Some demonstrators chanted, "Keep your boardroom out of my bedroom" and "Separate church and state, women must decide their fate." Signs carried by demonstrators offered contrasting views: "Obamacare - religious liberty First Amendment outlawed," "I am the pro-life generation," and "Birth control not my boss's business." One man dressed up as a copy of the Bible, brandishing a sign saying, "Use me not for your bigotry."
But while the impact on US healthcare from this ruling will be modest, the real consequence will be in Washington, where as Politico writes, "So much for the Obamacare comeback."
Just when the health care law seemed to be in a better place, with a big finish to the enrollment season and the early embarrassments fading into the background, the Supreme Court handed Obamacare’s opponents their biggest legal victory yet.

The contraception coverage mandate isn’t central to the law, the way the individual mandate is. By letting some closely held employers — like family-owned businesses — opt out of the coverage if they have religious objections, the justices haven’t blown a hole in the law that unravels its ability to cover millions of Americans. They didn’t even overturn the contraception coverage rule itself. They just carved out an exemption for some employers from one benefit, one that wasn’t even spelled out when the law was passed.

But politically, that doesn’t matter.
What matters is that the Supreme Court has ruled that the Obama administration overreached on one of the most sensitive cultural controversies in modern politics. And in doing so, the justices have given the Affordable Care Act one more setback that it didn’t need heading into the mid-term elections.

“This will remind people why they don’t like the ACA to begin with,” said Republican pollster Kellyanne Conway. “People do not believe that a president, no matter what party they’re from, should be overbearing or intrusive into their religious practices.”

Republican ad maker Brad Todd put it bluntly: “Anytime Obamacare is in the news, it’s a good thing for Republicans.”

The ruling also allows Republicans to say that Obama and his law have violated one of the most respected constitutional protections: freedom of religion.

“They’ve overreached, and they’ve overreached in an area that’s very sacred,” said Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the Susan B. Anthony List.
That's great. However, it presupposes that Americans still care about such trivial items as freedom (of any kind). And, of course, the Constitution. Both are up for debate.

The Anunnaki Of Nibiru With Gerald Clark - Beyond Ordinary News Radio

Yesterday, you’ll recall, I blogged about the strange death of Mr. Joseph Giampapa in a hit-and-run accident. As you’ll recall, this JP Morgan bankruptcy lawyer’s death provoked a set of dot-connecting from Jim Willie, who connected the dots to Nazis, the Vatican bank, and so on. Readers of my book Covert Wars and Breakaway Civilizations and various blogs on this site concerning the bearer bonds scandals, will recall that some of the Operation Golden Lily loot made its way into the Vatican Bank. Readers will also recall that in my reading of all these strange financial dots, I’ve been maintaining that Axis loot formed a secret reserve, which was transformed into being the basis of a hidden system of finance to fund covert operations and black projects by President Truman in 1947, the year of Admiral Byrd’s return from Antarctica, the year of the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls, the year of Kenneth Arnold’s now famous UFO sighting, and of course, the year of Roswell, and the year that the CIA and NSA were birthed by Truman when he signed the national security act which created those agencies. One is tempted to speculate more on these dots and I have done so in my various books. But for the present, our attention must be focused on the Vatican part of this story, and an article that was shared with me by Mr. R.Y.:
Francis, as we all know by now, has his own peculiar connections to the space angle of all of this, given his recent homiletical statements about baptizing extraterrestrials. But as readers will recall, I previously blogged about the fact that Francis had hired the same international accounting company to audit the Vatican Bank as is the auditing company of record for Lloyd’s of London and the Bank of International Settlements (BIS). And the Vatican Bank has been the eye of other financial storms: one need only think of the mysterious death of Roberto Calvi at London’s Blackfriars’ Bridge, of the connections of the Vatican Bank to Michele Sindona, or the whole P2 Loge Propaganda Due scandal that burst out in Italy surrounding Licio Gelli; one need only think of the allegations surrounding then bishop and later archbishop Paul Marcinkus, whose connections to the bank, while palpable, remain obscure, and whose role as Pope John-Paul II’s security advisor placed him in that pope’s inner circle.
Now, notably, Francis has sacked the all-Italian regulatory board and internationalized it:
“The Vatican said the pope named four experts from Switzerland, Singapore, the United States and Italy to replace them on the board of the Financial Information Authority (AIF), the Holy See’s internal regulatory office. The new board includes a woman for the first time.”
In the context of all the dot-connecting that I’ve been doing the past few years in my books and in my blogs about this world-wide hidden system of finance, certain centers of financial skullduggery have repeatedly emerged, and they are – surprise surprise! – Switzerland, the USA, Italy, and Asia. Consider the Japanese bearer bond scandal, for example. Two Japanese men(the Asia connection), were caught trying to smuggle $134.5 billion in fake US bearer bonds (the USA connection), which bonds were subsequently denounced by President Obama as fakes, into Switzerland (there’s the Swiss connection). They were caught by the Italian Guardia di Finanza, Italy’s elite financial police(there’s the Italian connection). When the fake bonds were examined, the $1 billion dollar “Kennedy” bonds were found they were stamped the the red logo of a securities trading and clearing company called Money World, which is based in Asia(the Asian connection again). But there’s more. Recall that the East Asia News ran a story in which it stated that the bonds were so good that they were indistinguishable from the real thing, which seemed to indicate that someone, somewhere, knew that inspite of the US government’s assurances that such highly denominated gold-backed bearer bonds were entirely fake and never existed, someone was asserting otherwise. Scratch and sniff long enough, and you discover that the East Asia News is connected to…
…the Vatican.
And now Francis I, Jose Cardinal Bergoglio, former Cardinal Archbishop of Buenos Aires, and Argentinian Jesuit, has brought in people from the very regions connected to other financial skullduggery. Suspicious? You bet I am!
For one thing, as the article indicates, Francis wants to put an end to accounts at the Vatican bank that have no connection to his church:

JP Morgan bankruptcy lawyer killed in hit & run

The banker suicide saga has just reached a new level as a top level JP Morgan attorney has been exterminated in a hit & run incident involving a minivan.

JPM attorney Joseph Giampapa was killed over the weekend when he was struck by a minivan in a hit and run incident.
Giampapa was reportedly hit and thrown 150 ft and was pronounced dead at the scene. No charges have been filed.
It gets better: Giampapa was JP Morgan’s top commercial bankruptcy lawyer (SVP).
Somehow we suspect the incident was not inflicted by a soccer mom.

“After America Comes North America,” Gen. Petraeus Boasts

“After America Comes North America,” Gen. Petraeus Boasts

“After America Comes North America,” Gen. Petraeus Boasts
Former general and CIA chief David Petraeus (shown), a key figure in the globalist Council on Foreign Relationsand the shadowy Bilderberg network, boasted at a recent conference that the United States of America is set to be merged into the continental regime being erected under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). Speaking at the Margaret Thatcher Conference on Liberty last week in London, the ex-commander of U.S. forces in Afghanistan and Iraq essentially celebrated the end of U.S. independence — and by extension, the demise of the Constitution.
“After America comes North America,” Petraeus said confidently in answering the question about what comes after the United States, the theme of the panel discussion. “Are we on the threshold of the North American decade, question mark? I threw that away — threw away the question mark — and boldly proclaimed the coming North American decade, says the title now.” He also boasted about how the three economies have been put “together” over the last 20 years as part of the “implementation” of the North American Free Trade Act.
The “highly integrated” forces of Canada, the United States, and Mexico, Petraeus continued, will become the world’s powerhouse for energy and science. “There are four revolutions that are ongoing at various levels in each of the countries but foremost in the United States,” said the former CIA chief, who now serves as chairman of the KKR Global Institute. “The energy revolution is the first of those, which has created the biggest change in geopolitics since the rise of China since 1978.” The other “revolutions” include IT, manufacturing, and life sciences, which, “as highly integrated as they are, allow you to argue that after America comes North America,” he added.

NASA's STEREO Sun Satellites are being taken off line. Why? Gold Dark Matter This is Satire. The Baby is not really the spokessymbol for NASA. Only for Wall Street. The official story is that the STEREO cameras have gotten too hot & one drifted too fast & the other drifted to slow, so their antenna will melt if they point back to Earth. So after losing the Epoxi Deep Impact Satellite last year, the baby planet on the Sun watching SDO EVE camera a month ago, and now Stereo Ahead & Behind cameras, AND being warned about the loss of SOHO soon, we will only be left with the SDO spacecraft which only provides close ups of the Sun.

With NASA's prime focus now on Climate Change, Monitoring Sea Levels, Arctic ice, Carbon & Democrat evangelizing - they seem almost happy to free up the time, money & man power for other things.

So it's pretty clear that Gold Dark Matter took down the STEREO satellite.

It's weird getting weirder.

Peru now has a ‘licence to kill’ environmental protesters

Law exempts soldiers and police from criminal responsibility if they cause injuries or deaths
Peruvian security forces arrest a protester in June 2009 during conflict that led to more than 30 people dying and over 200 injured. Peruvian security forces arrest a protester in June 2009 during conflict that led to more than 30 people dying and over 200 injured. Photograph: AP
Some of the recent media coverage about the fact that more than 50 people in Peru – the vast majority of them indigenous – are on trial following protests and fatal conflict in the Amazon over five years ago missed a crucial point. Yes, the hearings are finally going ahead and the charges are widely held to be trumped-up, but what about the government functionaries who apparently gave the riot police the order to attack the protestors, the police themselves, and – following Wikileaks’ revelations of cables in which the US ambassador in Lima criticized the Peruvian government’s “reluctance to use force” and wrote there could be “implications for the recently implemented Peru-US FTA” if the protests continued – the role of the US government?

The conflict broke out in northern Peru after mainly indigenous Awajúns and Wampis had been peacefully protesting a series of new laws which were supposedly emitted to comply with a trade agreement between Peru and the US and which made it easier, among other things, for extractive industries to exploit natural resources in their territories. Following a blockade of a highway near a town called Bagua – and an agreement that the protestors would break up and go home, reached the day before – early on 5 June the police moved to clear it and started shooting. In the ensuing conflict, 10 police officers, five indigenous people and five non-indigenous civilians were killed, more than 200 injured – at least 80 of whom were shot – and, elsewhere in the Bagua region, a further 11 police officers were killed after being taken hostage.

“So far only protesters have been brought to trial,” said Amnesty International in a statement marking five years since the conflict and pointing out that human rights lawyers have said there is no serious evidence linking the accused to the crimes they are being prosecuted for – which include homicide and rebellion. “[S]o far little progress has been made to determine the responsibility of the security forces. Likewise, no progress has been made to investigate the political authorities who gave the orders to launch the police operation.”

Exclusive: Secret underground base beneath Denver International Airport now revealed by whistle-blower -

(Photo: Shepard Ambellas/Intellihub News)
(Photo: Shepard Ambellas/Intellihub News)
DENVER (INTELLIHUB) — The Denver International Airport (DIA) is nestled on a vast 53 square mile complex and is owned and operated by the City of Denver.  In fact, it’s the largest airport in the United States, in terms of land mass garnered, and the second largest airport in the world to Saudi Arabia’s King Fahd International Airport as I pointed out in my appearance on the Travel Channel series America Declassified.
The airport serves over 50 million passengers a year and is now incorporating a massive new project called “Airport City” an aerotropolis which has been presented publicly by the Mayor of Denver, Michael Hancock, who respectively declined an interview with Intellihub News. However, interestingly, the new aerotropolis will incorporate an expansive business district with new lodging as well as an agricultural and technical district within the confines of the airport property to attract more revenue to Denver’s growing economy. In fact, between the planed aerotropolis and Colorado’s booming marijuana industry, DIA just might be the next biggest thing since sliced bread.
The concept is innovative, a first for an airport in America, and is likely to become the envy of other airports around the world. In fact, according to Airport City Denver’s official website:
In 2010, DIA and the City and County of Denver took a major step in DIA’s evolution to fulfill its gateway role by inviting firms from around the world to submit proposals to assist DIA in planning, assessing and creating an Airport City at DIA as the core of and competitive accelerator for the emerging Denver aerotropolis. Later that year, DIA selected MXD Development Strategists (MXD) and its collaborative team including Design Workshop, CH2M Hill, Dr. John Kasarda, Integrity Parking, Transcore and Ambient Energy to prepare the Denver International Airport City Development Strategy.
However, local residents and others have been questioning the new construction in and around the airport property as several red flags have been raised. In fact, since the first construction phases of the airport started in the early 1990′s, there have been several indicators that something else may be taking place on or under the grounds of the 53 square mile complex.

Some speculate that a deep underground military facility, part of the Continuity of Government (COG) program exists on the site. A massive underground city to be used by our government in the event that Washington or our central governments command hub is compromised. According to some investigative reports, including one headed up by the former Governor of Minnesota, Jesse Ventura, the underground city that lies beneath the airport quite possibly connects to other deep underground military installations throughout the country.
Now, a source of mine within the airport confirmed for the first time astonishing information regarding the underground facility, providing details unknown to airport staff and the general public until now.
The following are details regarding a deep underground military installation located on the grounds of the DIA as provided by my source:
  • Level 1 of the airport is inset into the ground to protect from vibrations coming from underneath. The base board characteristics lead on to this technical design. The employees have been told the reason for this is to protect from vibrations from the public train that leads back and forth to all concourses, A, B, and C.
  • The airport’s gate and door numbers correspond to emergency action and response plans that indicate specific details to people “in the know”.
  • The design of the airport is built to throw people off as levels are labeled differently on each in some cases and grading changes make it difficult to pinpoint your actual elevation. This was a security feature added by the designers.
  • Due to lawsuits (or potential staged events) in the “United Airlines, Inc.” section of one of the basement levels at DIA, an infectious bio-hazard or fungal outbreak has instigated quarantined off areas of the underground, as they are now inaccessible to the airport staff and personnel. The quarantined section of the underground was confirmed by the source to be located in Concourse B’s East side lower levels.
  • The landfill located off of Tower Rd. two miles west of the Jeppesen Terminal was added onto in the early 2000′s despite the airports appeal to the District Court against the landfill in 2002, claiming it was a FAA safety hazard. The landfill has a functioning element to it but is “mocked-up” to look like a landfill hidden in plain sight.
  • There is a militarized intermediary entrance located in the “United Airlines” section of the underground. The actual door number was reveled by my source with great hesitation. The actual door code is “BE64B” unknown until now to the general public.
  • A swift door will also allow access to the intermediary entrance of the facility if you have the proper “speed-pass” clearance on a Department of Defense (DOD) level. This door was also a secret to the general public until now. The actual door number is “T-47 M” located on the level 4 exterior. Update: Airport Staff, “I just went in to T47-M… nothing goes down, no steps, no elevator”.
  • The dirt in parts of the train tunnels looks unnatural, and “if anyone steps on it they know”, said my source.
  • Gates can “lock-down” certain sections of the airport in the event of an emergency.
  • A nearly 3 mile long tunnel heads out from the intermediary entrance “BE64B“, to a full-blown Department of Defense (DOD) sanctioned militarized entrance nestled in a set of 5 buildings 120′ beneath the surface located Northeast of theJeppesen Terminal.
  • All VIP activity typically originates under the Northwest section of “Concourse C”
The information provided by the whistleblower does indeed beg the following question. Does the DOD have any ties to areas of the airport owned and (or) operated by domestics airline carriers?

New information uncovered by Intellihub News investigators concludes that, yes indeed the DOD has ties to a commercial airline carrier that operates out of the Denver International Airport.
Documents requested by a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request by theInvestigative Report Workshop in 2004 reveal that, “United Airlines, Inc” is involved in a DOD “Air Transportation Program” likely connected to COG. This contract would allow United Airlines to fly VIP’s, sitting Senators, Congressmen, and top elected officials including Head’s of State to-and-fro the main COG hub located on DIA grounds.
According to the Investigative Report Workshop, “The Department of Defense audits commercial air carriers it contracts with to fly DOD employees. The Workshop and PBS FRONTLINE sent a FOIA request to learn about United Airline’s maintenance procedures. Last year, we had sent the same request for another company and the audits proved to be very informative. This time, however, we received about 94 mostly blank pages.”

The U.S. Economy Has Collapsed: “This Is A Monstrous Negative Revision” |

gold stormOfficially, we have not yet entered a recession. That requires two quarters of negative growth.  However, the current trend indicates that’s exactly what’s going to happen.   In the next 30 days the BEA should be releasing the GDP rate for the second quarter of 2014.
According to economist John Williams that will more than likely show a negative print and will lead to an official confirmation that the U.S. has entered another recession.

What’s worse, unlike the previous recession that followed the collapse of 2008, there is no way out of this one.
The time to finalize preparations for what’s coming is now.
It’s going to go from bad to worse.

For months the administration, financial pundits and Wall Street analysts made it a point to inform Americans about the healthy state of our economy. One of the key metrics they’ve used as proof of recovery was the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) which measures the productive output of the U.S. economy as a whole.
Earlier this year the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis noted that this measure was showing positive growth. But now, after a second official revision, all of that purported growth used to goad consumers into spending more money on homes, cars and other goods has been revealed to be nothing but conjecture. According to the BEA, not only did economic growth stall during the first quarter of 2014, it completely collapsed, signalling a significant shift in consumption habits amid increasing food and energy prices:
Real gross domestic product — the output of goods and services produced by labor and property located in the United States — decreased at an annual rate of 2.9 percent in the first quarter of 2014 according to the “third” estimate released by the Bureau of Economic Analysis.
The government first made consumers believe that the economy grew. Then they revised this down to slight negative growth. The latest revision of -2.9% growth is significant, because even with official inflation at over 2% America’s economic output has declined. It seems that no matter how much money they pump into the system, it isn’t enough to offset the lack of income or job growth.
This is a monstrous negative revision.
A big part of it was non-residential fixed investment.  Rather than invest, companies have issued debt and bought back stock.  But this does nothing for the economy — it simply blows a bubble in the market.  How long before that comes home to roost?  Not long now, I suspect.
If you think companies don’t expect a recession inbound, you’re nuts.  Inventory draw-downs subtracted 1.7% from the GDP number.  Companies don’t build inventories if they don’t think they can sell them — as such this is a forward indicator.
Oh, and current production profits?  They’re down while current taxes were up.  Obamacare anyone?  Worse is that undistributed profits decreased too and this is the second quarter sequentially in which they did.  What does a company pay dividends with?  Undistributed profits.
So for two quarter the markets has risen like a rocket while the fuel for that rise has been exhausted for the last six months.
This will turn out well, I’m sure.

Officially, we have not yet entered a recession.
The reason for this is that the consumer is strapped… doesn’t have the liquidity to fuel the growth in consumption.
Income… the median household income, net of inflation, is as low as it was in 1967. The average guy is not staying ahead of inflation.
As a result – personal consumption is more than two thirds of the economy – there’s no way you can have positive sustainable growth in the U.S. economy without the consumer being healthy.
As the renewed downturn gains wider acceptance or wider recognition, that will intensify the selling pressure.  When someone starts selling, it’s going to be a race for the door, and I am looking for a dollar selling panic to be the trigger for the onset of hyperinflation.
I don’t see what will save it at this point.
To cries of fear mongering and ‘doom porn’ contrarian economists and analysts warned that these numbers were being fabricated, despite the fact the the underlying fundamentals showed a clear draw-down in consumer confidence, company inventory, home sales and overall spending.
Now all of those warnings are coming to pass.
We have entered the next leg down and given that the governments of the world have pretty much used up all of the arrows in their quivers, there is nothing to stop what’s coming.
And what’s coming is nothing short of a complete collapse of our way of life. Hard to believe? Yes. Implausible? No.
It is so plausible, in fact, that well known radio commentator Mark Levin recently noted that the U.S. government has been actively preparing for and simulating the collapse of our financial system, as well as the widespread violence that will follow.
I’ll tell you what I think they’re simulating.
The collapse of our financial system, the collapse of our society and the potential for widespread violence, looting, killing in the streets, because that’s what happens when an economy collapses.
I’m not talking about a recession. I’m talking about a collapse, when people are desperate, when they can’t get food or clothing, when they have no way of going from place to place, when they can’t protect themselves.
There aren’t enough police officers on the face of the earth to adequately handle a situation like that.
This is happening right here and now. The streets may not devolve into madness tomorrow or next month, but piece by piece the foundations of America’s economic health and social structure are crumbling. The time to finalize preparations for what’s coming is now.
It’s going to go from bad to worse.
