Various Baby Foods Found With Toxic Lead Levels! (U.S.A.)

A Prestigious Environmental Group Warns Of Lead In Baby Food: 1 in 5 Baby Food Samples Have Lead! Lead in the blood can cause grave sickness, behavioral problems, legionaries disease, high blood pressure, loss of hair, loss of appetite, hallucinations, and lower IQs for babies, teenagers, and adults, as we grow older.

Children who have elevated blood lead levels are more likely to have speech delays, cognitive difficulties, lower IQs. Only a slight difference in IQ is enough to sometimes cause difficulty in school and learning. Lower IQs caused by lead exposure translates into a total of $27 billion per year, in lost lifetime earnings nationwide, to say the least, the Environmental Defense Fund calculates in its report.

The Environmental Defense Fund analyzed publicly available data from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Total Diet Study, which each year collects samples of food from around the country and tests it for a host of nutrients and contaminants, including lead. The FDA does not identify the brands that were tested, or the stores where they were purchased.
