The High Art of Movies (with Adam Paul Burkart)

Part 1 and 2 of an ongoing analysis of surreal films and programs and the messages they contain. Movies can be a high art educating the Right Brain, and thereby building needed immunity against the barrage of negative “programs” our minds are subjected to on a daily basis. Decoding and analyzing movie symbolism can be done in a competent or incompetent manner. To do it correctly and productively entails delving deeply into the dynamics of the human psyche, particularly that of children. This provides insight into the majority of the motifs seen in the stranger kinds of movies and television shows. Michael takes us deeply into the nuances of child psychology and helps us expertly decode the most bizarre and complex imagery in television and cinema. Movies discussed include Carrie, Psycho, Blue Velvet, Twin Peaks, The Shining, The Exorcist, The Truman Show, The Medusa Touch, Lolita, Poltergeist, Edward Scissorhands, Friday the 13th, American Beauty, Terminator, Tron, Ninth Configuration, Silence of the Lambs, Tightrope, Meet Joe Black, Jacob’s Ladder, Fight Club, Tombraider, Mulholland Drive, Walkabout, Wolf, Dracula, Dune, Excalibur, Zardoz, and others.
